Seashell Wedding Cake Ideas

A seashell wedding cake is naturally the perfect way to carry out your beach theme. I have seen hundreds of beach theme cakes and they are all different because each cake designer/decorator will put their own ideas into the decoration of your cake. Each wedding cake baker has his/her own style and expertise. Ask to see pictures of their past creations and let them lend their creativity to your inspiration!

Use flavor as a way of incorporating your theme also. Make each layer a unique flavor combination. If your cake is going to be your only dessert, I highly recommend one layer to be a basic flavor that will please the majority. The most popular flavor by far is, a white cake with vanilla butter cream filling and a hint of raspberry preserves added to keep it moist. But have fun with the rest of the cake and remember, generally the top of the cake goes home with you - so make it your personal favorite.
